Hey, I'm trying to set up my networking for my XP home
laptop with a basic linksys wireless network card. The
problem, however, is that I can't enable the Wireless Zero
Configuration option at all. The window for "Available
Wireless Networks" is all faded so I can't do anything with
it and the Properties for my wireless network card only
contains the General and Advanced tabs. I know at one
point it had more tabs than this but I haven't been able to
trace it back or figure out how to get those back. Any
help?

Open services and scroll down to Wireless Zero Configuration Service,
Start the service and set it to automatic. If it does not show in the
list of Services:

run regedit and find

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\WZCSVC

add a DWORD entry named "Start" and
value "2"
