This is the article that was the reference for the macmod blog post.
And indeed Mahjong is one of the 7 reasons given for not going back to XP.
And people with Home Basic don't even get Mahjong!
Headlines are meant to pull readers in, whether is it the National
Enquirer or the Wall Street Journal, and I noticed that you didn't argue
about the accuracy of the Headline, just that it was sensationalistic.
IOWs, it did exactly what a headline is supposed to do.

I don't know about you, but I think that some people (J Munro included)
should just stick with writing letters to Santa. I also think that
marketing depts should be scrapped and that people responsible for some
of the marketing hype should be gently led back to the ocean.
These people use the word 'Wow' when they should have used 'Whoa', call
things by dumb names, make ludicrous claims etc
Vista is just an OS, no more, no less. It has more security built in to
it, it looks better,
it generally works better,
it can recover itself
better than its predecessors.
I don't think that there should have been so many versions, and pricing
is way over the top, but having said that, there were five versions of
XP.. Home, Pro, Volume, Media Center and 'pirated' . Computers and
user expectations are way beyond the 'one size fits all' DOS days, and
so I do sympathize to some degree with MS Marketing.
The industry as a whole is 'sales' crazy and will do and say almost
anything to upstage the competition in order to get a sale. OEM
manufacturers and retail outlets take full advantage of the fact that
the buying majority are in no way technical, in much the same way as the
auto and construction industries always have. It is like their is no
integrity anymore, that it is not required or is old fashioned.
To be honest, I put most of the blame onto the OEM because they sell
underpowered garbage and they know it but don't care as long as money
changes hands.

Vista users who love vista suck
What? said:What? You're not in your prime, you are pathetic and you should crawl

most welcomed at the outhouse with the other pieces of $hit. Your $hit
dancing in the NG is just too $hitty, you're not good at it, with you
busting out of your $hit hole.
Where is the septic tank truck to suck, suck, suck yoooooooou-up and
take you to your home (the outhouse) and close thr lid.
Yes, you are a psychotic piece of $hit. You know that, right?

Yes. Though if looks is important to an end user, they can always go
with WindowBlinds, instead of upgrade to Vista.
Not Explorer, and to me that is the most important OS interface with any
of my hardware.
It still hasn't eliminated the three-fingered salute. And then add in
the annoyance of UAC, which was meant to intentionally piss off end users
as a means to coerce software developers to code programs the way MS
mandates.
Unfortunately MS is complicit in all of this. We do have the emails that
prove MS conspired with Intel over the Vista-capable marketing con-job.
Canuck57 said:Hell no. Vista is a POC on a Q6600 with 8GB of RAM, hardly underpowered.
Linux copy so much faster I had to check that it worked after using Vista.
Wasn't the hardware, was the OS. Vista is going now where but the toilet.
The OEMs know the price presures are for cheaper, fast and features. None
of which are Vista traights. There is not one thing you can do on Vista
that you can't do on XP or Linux! So why change? And if you do, put Linux
in with OpenOffice and save a pile. Compiler.SQL etc. for techies, n/c.
The consumer is not going to pay $1000 for software (OS + Office +...) for
a $400 PC. Get over it. Commodity pricing is coming to the monopolistic
MS whether they like it or not. And MS software unlike the rest of the
business isn't cheaper per feature than it was with XP or W2000.
Power isn't the issue, efficiency is. While MS and other companies pay
C/C++ people like garbage, and start writting C# (hip-hype) and other
inefficient crap they have in fact bottlenecked the technology. There
isn't a system today than you can buy at any cost that makes Vista
outperform a commodity home PC with XP at less than $1000.
Lets face it, MS is doomed if they don't put the Vista on a serious diet
and Q/C check before Win7 or you can count the Linux converts by the
millions. Linux is ready, MS post XP not being sold is without an
acceptable OS. And there are those moving today as they can't afford to
wait for Microsoft.

Alias tell the truth about it. It's you and the big Linux powered

demonstration of you and the big Linux powered dillllllll-do. And then
it's you, your Linux magazines with you and the big Linux powered
dilllllll-do action shots, missy.
Go Lassie Alias go, you make those Linux sales there missy.
