Please help me...I'm very new to web design. I wanted to know if there anyway
to take information that a visitor selects from a drop-down or option box and
use it (or transfer it) on another page in the same website. I want to show
the visitor confirmation of their selection and also use it elsewhere on the
site while they are there. (i.e. confirm they choose that particular size,
quantity or pick-up location) This seams like a simple thing to do, but I've
been looking though a lot of threads on different sites and can't find an
answer. I've tried making some forms, but the submit button just goes to
another page that displays the info. I need to re-use on the next page
without ending up on a confirmation page.

I don't know any html codes and abbreviations and can't even spell Java. I
am visual though and can copy examples given to me. Since I am doing this for
free for a charitable organization, I can't afford to hire a programmer.

Thanks you in advance.

It's the "free ones" that will always get you.
I do our homeowners association site for free, and it is a real pain."
One contributor does her stuff in publisher , another in word, and they just can't
understand why it won't work on a FrontPage site.

That said:
What you want do would best done server side with asp. ( I think )

It also could be done with javascript but it would take some pretty intensive scripting,
and not knowing what you need to send to the other page(s) makes it quite difficult to
provide an example.

That is a shopping cart application.

Is that the kind of site you're creating??

Not at first. Initially they main concern is to have visitors select and
confirm the site where they are to pick up their orders. After that is done,
they want to use PayPal to place orders. The PayPal page is easy for me to
do, but the stuff before it gets to PayPal is confusing for me.

Tony,

You will have to use / install the shopping cart app and then figure out what you need
from it.
Hopefully it will come with good help / instructions.

Thanks for your reply Steve. Is the shopping cart app a part of Front Page
or another application?

It is another application. You have to locate one that meets your needs, as well as being supported
by your web host.
