I just got a new computer with windows XP and outlook 2002.

I have 4 users set up in Windows XP, but I want them all
to have access to one Email account in outlook. How do I
do that? Right now only one profile has access and the
files are all stored under that user.

1)Move the pst-file of that user to a location all users have access to.
2)Setup the mail profile for the other users and delete the (empty) pst-file
that gets created.
3)Start Outlook it will prompt you for the pst-file location.
4)Browse to the location in of the pst-file you set in step 1

Okay, I did that and it worked okay.

But

Now that I'm using the same .pst file for 4 users, they
all seem to download the same message into the .pst file,
even if it has alread been downloaded by one of the other
users in the .pst file. I have the profiles set up so
that the "leave messages on server" box is cleared. So
shouldn't the message be deleted from the server the
first time one of my users checks mail?

What am I doing wrong to get multiple copies of the same
message?

Has this always been your setup (not leaving a copy on the server)?

No, on my old W98 computer that I just upgraded from, my
family all used one user profile and I left messages on
the server for 10 days before deletion.

Alrright then this must be causing your issue. Recreate your original
profiles as well to make sure you've all recreated them on Windows XP
