Use of Tables

Whenever I use tables, I frequently find that they move around on me unexpectedly. Sometimes this happens when I'm printing a documtent so that the page I printed does not look like like the same page on my monitor. Often I get the tables where I want them, save and close the file, and the next time I open the file I find that the tables I thought I had fixed have now moved and are overlapping. I had this problem in Word 1997 and now I having the very same problem in Word 2002. How can I stop this from happening? I find this time consuming and very frustrating. Any help with this problem will be greatly appreciated.

I don't see how this could happen if the tables are inline. Are you wrapping
them?

Hi Suzanne

Thank you for your response

I'm not sure what you mean by inline and wrapping? I am attempting to wrap text around the tables, is this what you mean by wrapping? I have also told Word not to move the tables with the text. I have had this problem with tables in several documents

I hope that this additional information will help you spread some additional light on my problem

Yes, that's what I meant. Whenever you make tables, graphics, or any other
object "wrapped" (wrap text around them), you're likely to have problems
keeping them in the right place.
