There are at least two ways this can be done. There are hardware devices you
can use to send the SMS messages directly. We evaluated a Siemens TC35. And
there are on-line services. You save your messages to a text file and upload
the file to the service, which sends to the phones for you. We use I-Touch
(
www.itouch.ie). We opted for the on-line service, but if I remember
correctly that was because it was the best match to our customers' needs,
not because of any problem with the hardware device. As far as I can
remember, the hardware device worked well too.
