Use of resources

At my office, we have MS Outlook 2000. When we schedule
a meeting we are selecting the meeting room as a person
to enable us to schedule. This means that someone has to
accept the meeting in order for it to show that room
busy. Too cumbersome to do this!! We would like to be
able to schedule room as a resource and once it is
scheduled, then it would show busy without a "real
person" having to do anything. Are we doing it wrong?
Ideas?

Did you follow the other steps, such as granting the Author role and inviting the mailbox as a resource rather than as a required attendee?
