Use of From Field

I want to send out different emails as though they were from different
accounts. I am using Outlook 2000 Corporate Workgroups version.

Using the View menu I turned on the From: field.

If the current service is (e-mail address removed) and I fill in the From field
as (e-mail address removed) then the recipient sees the email as from (e-mail address removed)
but if the service is (e-mail address removed) but I fill in the From field
as (e-mail address removed) then the recipient (using Outlook 2000 IMO)
sees the from field as

(e-mail address removed) on behalf of (e-mail address removed)

I don't want the "on behalf of ..." part to appear.

What I can do is go into Tools | Services | Delivery
and make the (e-mail address removed) the current one, but this is
a lot of work for something that
I want to do all the time.

Any ideas on what to do?

Assuming these mail accounts are POP3 (or at least, they're not Exchange
mailbox addresses), changing the delivery order in Tools | Services is
the only way to do what you're asking. The From field is used when
connected to Exchange, so that people with permissions to send mail from
other people can do so (for example, an assistant sending mail for her
boss). See http://www.slipstick.com/mail1/sendaccount.htm#cw for more
information.

Thanks. Based on your response it seems I am stuck with changing the
delivery order in

Tools | Services

Does anyone have a macro that would simplify this? Exhanging the top
and next to top one would do it.

If no one here responds regarding a macro, you might want to check one
of the VBA programming groups for Outlook, such as
microsoft.public.outlook.program_vba -- they may be able to provide you
with some sample code over there.
