Hi,

Can anybody tell me, if it would be possible to use my secondary
monitor to only show dedicated software screens, without making the
second monitor part of the desktop?
For instance, play a powerpoint slideshow on that second monitor,
without the possibility to see mouse cursors move on that screen or
pop-up-windows appear there, etc.

So, the working area (desktop) will be the primary screen only, and the
second monitor will only play my powerpoint.

I need this for a presentation where the viewers may never see anything
other than the powerpoint show.

thx!

This is a feature of PowerPoint if set up properly and you have the proper
hardware for the job. You need a video card or cards that can handle two
monitors. In PPT click on Slide Show then Set up Show. There in the bottom
right of the window that opens is where you set the features of show on
second screen (Multiple Monitors).

Hi LvTravel,

I got that working, but it only works when you have your desktop
stretched onto this monitor. Which means that it can happen that you
can (accidently) drag an other form over your slideshow, or a
file-open-dialog can pop-up just on top of your slideshow.
I'm looking for a way to avoid that.
