use md5 on zip files

i have to write a program to add the md5 checksum for several zip files.
However, i just find some reference which apply for string only. is there
any sample on the zip file level?? thanks.

Not sure which reference you found bit it looks like it works on byte arrays
or streams rather than on strings ?
