IE 6
Win XP HE SP1

Hi,
I would like to know if I should enable "Use http 1.1" by default under
Tools|Options|Advanced or not.
I have a filtering program blocking any changes to that setting--but I
have a workaround to enable the setting.
I am just wondering if I shoould enable it or not.
It seems that IE slows down a bit if I enable http 1.1 (as compared to
1.0) but I do need 1.1 at times when going to secure sites, etc.
Any comments?
Tx.

? I am a bit confused. I only have 'Use http 1.1" in my Advanced Options so
I presume it is the default version now.
You may want to get an update for your puter. SP2 has been available for
some time now.

The internet options on the Advanced Tab can be customized by your ISP or
Computer Distributor when they install the windows software on your puter.
So it may be a legacy thing.

Like all standards the more modern standard (v 1.1) is backwards compatible
with the 1.0 version so there should be no incompatibility problems.
