Use EWF with XP Professional?

Hey all-

After much time developing with XP Embedded, I have decided that it is not
going to pan out well for my purpose. I do not care about the decreased
footprint, or anything with the exception of EWF. Can EWF be ported for use
with XP Professional? That would solve so many of my problems. If not,
maybe someone can provide a POC for the development team so that I may
discuss that possibility.

Technically, yes. Leagally, no.

Google for "shared access toolkit". this is a new free toolkit from MS that
also includes the EWF component.
