use edit in dos full screen not recalled

Hi, Ian.

I often use Edit.com full-screen in a full-screen "DOS" window. But I can't
understand what you are asking. If you could rephrase your question, maybe
I can help.

I set this-- but then re using edit
it comes up as partial window not full screen again.
did not do this on Windows98
secondly...
I really prefer white text on dark background it is
less tiring for the eyes, is there an alternative
text editor. I am surprised there is not a greater
demand for this.
