Use a queried list to find a specific record

I have a list based on a query. When I hi-light the record, how can I make it go? The thing is, is that the list is in a subform and the wizard did not give me this initial option.

"make it go"? I do not understand this terminology.

Can you provide more details about what you want to happen and what the list
is and how the list is being displayed?
