my printer is not working (HP Deskjet 5150) and i've
called HP. I was told it was because windows was installed
while the USB cable was plugged in and its installed in
the registry. HP cust serv rep said i should just format
my computer again, but i want another way around this.

I've found

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\Enum\USBPRINT

here i can see \hpdeskjet_5100\ and the other sub keys.
i've tried deleting them via regedit and regedt32 and i
keep getting an error message. i'm pretty sure that if i
delete that key i can get my problem fixed, but i need
help deleting it. if any of the wise gurus here can tell
me how to delete it or recommend a 3rd party app for
editing the registry i would be most grateful. i've
already tried using regseeker, but it doesn't work.
