My Dell Dimension 4100 has Windows XP Home Edition
installed. I wish to install drivers for my JVC digital
video camera (JVC model GR-DVM96) from the disc that came
with the camera. However, a warning appears stating that
a device drive is needed that has met the Microsoft
Windows XP logo. The installation disc from JVC is
labeled Windows/Macintosh with no XP designation. Is it
safe to install the USB Driver?

The best is to follow the "quick start" or installation guide included with the camera.
If it says to click thru this warning, trust them and do so. In case the specific directions for XP are
missing, it might be available from their tech. support, with the latest driver update.
