Just loaded windowsxp on a new hard drive, and the usb ports are not recognized. Board is MSI Mainboard KM2M Combo Series with VIA KM266 chipset. I loaded all the drivers for the board, but still nothing. The usb ports are dead. Help!?

Did you download the SP1 for WinXP from Windows Update?
That motherboard has USB2. The SP1 will setup support for it.
