Can anyone tell us the difference this will produce? I'd like to
understand if it is worth the money to purchase the firewire cable for
my JVC camera.

Thanks
Chris

firewire gets you full Digital Video from a digital camcorder tape, the same
as what's on the tape.... and it works best with Movie Maker... and it's
lossless through editing cycles.... and it's inexpensive to setup...

USB connections sometimes work, but if they don't you should use other
software to capture the video and go through conversion steps to get it to
Movie Maker....

Bottom line... if Movie Maker is your video editor, firewire is your
connection....

Using the firewire did in fact resolve several issues I was having.
Thanks for the help.
