USB usage causes BSOD on MSI NEO 7125

I have just done a clean install of RC1 on a cleanly formatted HD (I have
win2k installed on another HD as a fall back position).

Even after updating my BIOS to the most recent version (1.d, according to
MSI Live Monitor), I find that USB devices cause an instant blue screen and
reboot.

And it's not your every day run of the mill BSOD -- there is no text -- just
a pure blue screen of anguish, and then a reboot.

Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance!

What types of devices are you trying to connect via USB? An easy way to check what the BSODs are is to open Problem Reports and Solutions in Control Panel, and then you will see the stop code and you can Google them and maybe find something. Also if you open Computer Management by right clicking on Computer on either the Start Menu or the Desktop and clicking Manage you can go to the Event Viewer and peruse the logs you may be able to find something there.

The top priority thing that you should do is file a Bug Report on this and attach the Memory Dump file that is located at %windir%\MEMORY.DMP and then explain to them the details of the devices you are trying to connect and any errors that you receive.

Thanks -- after I posted this, I fiugred out how to submit the bug report,
although I hadn't known about the memory dump file, so I didn't attach that.
I'll keep that in mind for the future.

The type of USB device I'm trying to attach is a flash drive and an iPod,
and they both have the same effect.
