USB Troubleshooting

Some of my uSB ports are not working each time i start my windows xp the computer says found a new hard ware looking for USB driver i put the operating system recovery CD and the hadware installation wizard starts searchign for the hardware and never find it any idea to solve this problem or a place on the net to downlaod or update this driverr????
 
If your usb ports are onboard go to the motherboard
website they may have drivers for the usb ports

IF you are running any version of Windows XP you need to dowload the SP1 if
you dont already have it; it is the only way to get USB2. support...
Otherwise, it might be your USB PCI card (if you have one) if you have USB
on the MOBO it may only be USB 1. the slowerr older version, if your mobo is
several years old it willnot have USB2.0 onboard more than likely. Trust me;
i have been thrue this movie, as they say.
