Hi,
Whether there is a freeware to transfer files between a laptop and desktop
USB's? Do I need any hardware except a USB to USB cable to do this at all?
Regards, VK

You get the software when you buy the hardware - search for "Bafo usb to usb
cable". I bought the system, but normal network cards work far better.

The usb system is nothing but a fancy version of laplink.

Query: Doesn't USB to USB link MB to MB and could thereby fry one or maybe
both motherboards?

I'd be much more worried about the high voltages in the monitor that you're
connecting directly to your motherboard.

Those high voltage caps can really pack a whallop.

Still no change?

FYI ... a different approach ...

Fred Langa (Langa.com) just published an article ni his newsletter showing
how to connect two PCs using ethernet ports with an easy-to-make crossover
cable. I plan to experiment with that when time permits.
