I want to change the PS/2 plug on my mouse to a USB plug

Is there anybody who can tell me how to connect the 4 pins of the USB plug
with the 6 pin PS/2 mouse plug?
I have already 4 at +5V (=1 at USB) and 3 at GND (=4 at USB) but I am
puzzled as to pin 1 and 5.
Any help is appreciated.

It is not just a matter of wiring in a different connector. If your mouse
is a dual standard (has electronics for both usb & ps2 on board) then it
should have come with an adapter. If not, then you will need a converter
that has some electronics inside to convert from ps2 to USB. They are
available. Check with newegg, directron, etc.. Might be cheaper to get a
new mouse though.

There is no direct way. Some mice support a dual mode, USB and PS/2. The
mouse detects to which it is connected and responds accordingly. You cannot
take a straight USB mouse and connect it to a PS/2 port with a simple
adapter.
