I have seen a lot of references to USB 2.1. What is the difference between
2.0 and 2.1? Does anyone know of a place that has the standards posted?

A simple Google search makes it hard to avoid such places.

Do you have any links to those "lot of references" ? USB.org are
not the greatest advertisers in the world, so you never know, there
could be work on another standard...

The standards are USB 1.1 and USB 2.0, and usb.org is where you look for
information. The next step in USB could likely be ultra wide band or
UWB, which will offer a wireless USB.

And typing "USB Standard" into Google returns that URL
just after www.usb.org. A search at usb.org for "USB 2.1"
returns no references to such a standard. It does return
Wireless USB references.

The Google results only returned 55.6 Million hits.
Trying "USB 2.1 Standard" returned 1.64 Million hits, with
nothing on the first few pages that supports the idea that
there is anything being called "USB 2.1".

I also, would like to see some of these "lot of references" that
Mr. Farren speaks of.

Luck;
Ken

11. Is there a plan for USB 3.0 or a faster USB 2.1?
No, but you've probably heard about the news already. Wired USB has
come to an end with the introduction of the Certified Wireless USB 1.0
approved in May 2005. Everything will start to go wireless when
wireless USB hub & USB dongles begin appearing in Q2 2006. The
migration, ironically, could be jumpstarted by FreeScale's competing
Cable-Free USB whose supporters promise to ship their wireless products
much sooner than Certified Wireless USB counterparts.

Though, it will most likely take about a decade or even longer for
everything to move from USB 2.0 to WUSB.

At least some of the top references to usb2.1 are viruses, trojans or
worms.
