Hello,

I while back, about 1 1/2 years ago. I came across a small program
that could tell what types of USB abilities or cards, connections a
system had. Unfortunatley I lost the program. It was an executable
program, no installation needed. If anyone has a line on this program
or something similar I would appreciate it and their help.

Thanks

Not sure if these two count as freeware.

You may already have USB Device Viewer v4.10.1710 its on the Windows
98 CD-ROM in the Tools\Reskit\Diagnose folder.

If not, try Intel USB System Check v3.01 (USB Ready) you can download
from http://www.wacom-europe.com/uk/downloads/tools/tools.asp

the page now gives a 404, even getting there from the downloads page.
anyway everest (formerly aida) tells a lot about usb, among many other
things:
http://www.lavalys.com/
you can output a full txt/html report.

ciao, j.
