usb problems

I am having problems with my standard open hcd usb host controller(error 12).
Stopped working 2 weeks ago. I have done a recovery still no good. Replaced
my pcmcia wireless internet card still no good. Help
 
Go to Start/Run, and type DEVMGMT.MSC , highlight the USB Root Hub device(s),
Action menu, "Uninstall", then restart Windows, to find the device drivers
again automatically.
