I just installed a USB2.0 multi-port hub and plugged it into a USB1.1 port
on my old Gateway. I know, I know, it's stupid but it's a long story.

My problem is that the @#$%^&* computer keeps telling me that it would work
better if I plugged it into a USB2.0 (as if I didn't know that). It seems
to remind me of it about every 15 minutes. Is there any way to FORCE the
machine to quit giving me that message? The real problem is that it gives
the "Bloink, Bloink" sound every time it does it and it is keeping me awake
at nights. I am writing this message at 01:15am. I have just now turned
the volume down but I would like to have sound at all other times. I want
to tell it to "SHUTUPALREADY! If I had a USB2.0 port I would have plugged
it in to it!!!!!"

Help!!

Easy solutions...
Control Panel/Sounds and turn the alert, error sound off.

Buy a USB 2.0 PCI card.
