Hi

I have a Windows 2000 professional PC...

I have linked 3 printers via USB to the PC.

1 HP LaserJet, 1 HP DeskJet and a Minolta Laser Colour

The LaserJet is linked via a 1 m USB cable from the PC, the DeskJet is
linked via a 5m USB cable to a USB splitter to a 1m cable for the DeskJet
and Laser Colour..

All are set-up to print via USB.

The LaserJet was installed months ago and the other 2 yesterday

The problem is when I try to print to the Laser colour and the DeskJet it
comes out of the LaserJet corrupt, and when I print to the LaserJet it comes
out OK, I cannot get anything to print out of the 2 new printers

Any help would be great

Thanks

Process to identify problem

1. remove USB splitter and uninstall drivers for Minolta and Deskjet
2. Install the Minolta by plugging it straight into the computer's USB. Test it
3. Unplug the Minolta and do the same for the Deskjet. Test it
4. If they both work properly, your USB spitter is causing the problem. It may be faulty, or may simply be in some way incompatible. Try a different brand (dont buy cheap) USB hub
5. If they still dont work properly, You could try uninstalling ALL the printers, and then reinstalling the Minolta and Deskjet seperately to confirm that they work OK. Try adding in the Laserjet last

As a last resort you could try getting a PCI USB card to ensure that Windows is routing the print data to two completely different controllers.

thanks
