USB Printer IRDA Attachment?

I have a HP LaserJet 1320n with an ethernet and USB port. Ethernet is
being used for normal networking printing functions. I would like to
add IRDA for direct printing from portable devices.

Web searches only show a couple of parallel-port-to-IRDA converters. I
need IRDA-to-USB. Can anyone recommend anything?

Thanks.

Unless HP makes one specifically for that line of printer, I wouldn't
believe there is any such animal. Outside of a few add-on transceivers
made for specific printers or other peripherals, the only IrDA dongles
I've ever seen or heard of were made to plug into computers to enable
them to communicate with peripherals that already had their own built-in
or specially added ports.

So unless there's an OEM infrared add-on designed for that printer-and
unless you can still find it, given that IrDA is something of a moribund
technology-you might want to consider Bluetooth as an alternative.

Come to think of it, though, I haven't seen a Bluetooth print server
around lately either.
