I'm not sure what a psp device is. Can you access any other USB devices
such as memory sticks, external hard drive, mice? If not then you could
go into Device Manager and remove all the entries under Universal
Serial Bus Controllers and then reboot allow XP to refind the
controllers.

PSP>Playstation Portable I'm trying to access some data i have save on there,
which i have done in the past. I've tried plugging other devices into the
USBs and nothing happens. I did get a "USB port power shortage" message. I
will try removing them nd reboot to see if that helps.. thank you.

I'm getting a messgae that says.. "Power Surge on Hub Port"
A USB device has exceeded the power limits of its hu port.

any suggestions?

This may be related to your other thread about no sound. Possibly something
was shaken loose and/or damaged when you moved the computer. If you are
comfortable opening the case and reseating everything (as I suggested in
regards to your sound issue), then do so. Otherwise, take the machine to a
local professional repair shop (not a BigStoreUSA type place) and have them
diagnose it.
