USB ports not working

I recently had a number of viruses on my computer and had to do a reload.
Immediately afterwards I updated to service pack 2. My computer worked fine
for a couple of weeks but now my bluetooth dongle has stopped working and is
not recognised and my speakers have stopped working. They are both USB
connections. I have also downloaed a free file from streamcast and tried to
install the software but when I click the setup file, my computer tells me
that I do not have the required authority to access the file. I am the only
user and also the system administrator. I don't know if these are connected
but somebody please help.

When I right click on my folders, there is no security tab! Also, I'm not
quite sure what you are talking about with the drivers and bios - I'm a bit
of a beginner. Please enlighten me.

Thanks
Paul

The first link in the previous post should have provided you with
enlightenment on the security tab, depending on the version of XP you are
using, Home or Pro...

What is the make and model # for your computer..?

It is usually a good idea to go to the OEM's web site (for your computer?)
and update your systems bios and any drivers that may be available, that were
not around when the computer was originally manufactured.. These updates may
help to alleviate potential or existing problems..

What was the free file, from streamcast..?

Go slow and make sure you read through the links thoroughly..
If you need more info, you could do a Google search for any extra info or
for certain meanings you might not fully grasp yet..
Or, look here.. http://www.webopedia.com/TERM/B/BIOS.html

I have sorted the access permission issue - thanks! My computer is a Tiny
with an Intel Celeron processor but I'm not sure of the model number. What is
OEM?
