My 2 front USB ports are not working...whenever I plug something into them,
it doesn't recognize anything. My jump drive will just flash its light
really fast and very dim like. My back USB port will recognize things but
say that my jump drive is write protected and I can't do anything with it.
Can someone help me figure out my problem?

I tried to slide that slider thing...nothing changed...but why won't my 2
front USB ports suddenly won't work? Microsoft told me that it was because
we plug in things all the time and it will just stop working. Why is that?
What else am I suppose to do with the USB ports? Look at them?

When you have done that, you can reset your USB cache file. Set your Folder
Options to view hidden files, and delete the file:
C:\WINDOWS\inf\infcache.1
You will probably have to 'take ownership' of the file to delete it

There is a registry setting to write protect a usb port.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\StorageDevicePolicies.
'WriteProtect' should be deleted

Okay well here's what I did. I did a system restore on my computer and my
front two USB ports started working...now they're not! Still not recognizing
anything in the front. Any suggestions?
