I have an MSI mobo 7145 2.1 RS 480-A21, that has USB ports that are
supposed to operate at ver 2.0 speed. When I use a device on any
port, I get a notice that this machine has no USB 2.0 ports. Any
thoughts? I'm wondering about drivers, but haven't been able to find
access to updates.

Thanks, Bill L.

Is this your mobo? You may need to append the 2nd line onto the first in
your browser when copy/pasting.

http://www.msi.com/index.php?func=downloaddetail&type=driver&maincat_no=
1&prod_no=204

Have you checked in 'device manager' under USB controllers at the bottom
to see if 'enhanced' is listed for any USB controller.

Also checked the MSI manual and there are settings in the BIOS for USB
that can be enabled/disabled. Specifically:

Under Integrated Peripherals:-

USB Controller
USB Device Legacy Support

How are yours set?

Pete,
Thanks, The Device Manager was able to correct the problem by simply
reinstalling driver(s). Sometimes the simplest things slip right by,
right.

Thanks again.
