usb port does not detect

I have this fuji finepix a330, and 128mb mp3 player used work fine, detected
well. now without any setting altered, it does not detect at all. strange
thing is side winder joy pad and usb mouse are working well. Any idea? I'm
using Win xp sp2 and slack 10.0 Any help wouldbe appreciated.

Are these other devices still plugged in? I'm wondering if
you're exceeding the current capabilities of the port-pair
with a combination of multiple USB devices.

Try the player on another computer if possible, portable
devices like that are subject to rougher handling and it
might have been damaged. Then again i'm a bit confused, is
the camera also an MP3 player or are these two different
devices (you only wrote " 'it' does not detect at all " ).
If two separate devices, is the situation that both won't
work now, not on any other USB port?

"it" refers to the usb port on system, contrary to they're not detected at
all
If two separate devices, is the situation that both won't

I have this laptop and they both aren't detected either
