We have a new laptop and no matter what we try (driver
update, driver delete and let XP figure it out, USB and
Kensington device delete and let XP figure it out, etc.)
we cannot get it to work at start up. I can get it to
work by unplugging the USB connection and reinserting.
However, something will wear out over time and it just
shouldn't work this way.
I also disabled the touch pad on the laptop via BIOS to
try to make sure the two weren't competing (note: no
indication of conflicts in Device manager).
