Why does Vista lock up my mouse and keyboard when I insert any USB Drive,
either pen of hard disk.
Usually it is locked up until Vista recognizes the drive.
On a few occasions, it locked me up to bad that a reboot did not help, and
power button shutdown did not help.
In these cases I could not even get to the BIOS boot screen; that did not
even show.
I had to pull the plug from the wall and plug back in to get the system to
boot.
I noticed my motherboard was still "on", Ethernet lights on and power was
going out to the pen drives via USB interface.
I have a MS8000 Entertainment Deskset and various pen and hd.
I do not remember the when I first started using Vista.
I have installed a Vista updates, patches and service pack.
I loaded the latest MS8000 drivers.
Now what???
