I upgraded my Dell computer to Windows XP. My USB
keyboard seems to reset itself about every 2 minutes now.
The green light showing the keyboard is on will shut off
and a tone sounds. The keyboard will be "dead" for a few
seconds and then the tone sounds again, the green light
reappears and keyboard operates. This us driving me
crazy! I have the keyboard USB connected to a USB hub.
What can I do to correct this?

Hello

Well you can try and make sure that you have the correct
driver installed for your KB by going to Dell website, or
plug the KB directlt inot the pc or have it replaced.

Critical or high power consumption USB devices should always connected
directly to the PC.. rather than use a hub, you might try to get a USB pci
card.. Belkin do a two and four port card..

Also try going into DEVICE MANAGER and under your USB contoller settings
make sure that XP isn't turning off the USB port to conserve power.
