usb is not recognized

i upgraded to xp pro with home, and the usb ports dont
detect any devices as hey did in home. i have service
pack1 installed also. MS patches have also been updated,
still usb does not recognize. Please help if u can. grazie

Make sure USB is enabled in CMOS Joe R

Check Device Manager and see if USB ports are enabled.
Also check that Plug and Play Service is enabled.
