USB hub and Intellimouse disconnect/connect

My USB hub temporarily loses power. The device diconnects
and then connects. Sometimes the mouse just quits working.
I diconnect the USB cable and reconnect and it's back. I
have reloaded USB root hub drivers, USB Universal Host
controller drivers, and the mouse driver.
Nothing seems to fix this problem.
In the process of reloading drivers, my computer started
rebooting itself over and over until it finally lost the
BOOT.INI file. Then I had to rebuid Windows from the
Reinstallation CD. I have just about everything re-
installed and running, but STILL have my mouse problem!

I would try to install the mouse directly to the
computer (skip the hub) & see what happens. If it works
OK your hub may not have enough power.
 
if you are using ver 5 of intellipoint uninstall and install ver 4.12 it
solved all my mouse problem . this was ms engineer recommendation after all
else failed.
