I have an XP machine with a USB hard drive caddy.
XP auto-detects USB device (Mass Storage Device) and the
inserted HDD....Great
Try to read data from the drive, ERROR - "Un-recognised
File structure"
Also system hang-ups a plenty for any windows operation
that wants to access the drive.
Plug caddy into win 98SE machine everything great!
Caddy drive is FAT32 while c: drive is NTFS, could this be
the problem?
Removed all USB devices in device manager then auto-detect
but OS results in 4 instances of the same device (USB root
Hub) being installed again!?
Windows Help says remove all, then auto-detect to solve,
but this does not work.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as I've got to the
stage of going round and round in circles.
Kind Regards
