USB Hard Disk and USB IPOD Compatibility

I have win XP
I have Ipod Connected to Comp with USB Port
I added external Hard disk Thru USB port
The minute I connect this hard disk to System My Ipod Stops and windows
gives me message that unrecognised USB device (IPod) present.The Hard disk
works fine.
Once i Disconnect the hard disk USB Port .IPOD works fine.
Any Suggestions?
So I can use both at the same time!!

Buy yourself a powered USB hub. This type of USB hub has a power transformer
which will provide more power to the USB ports. It seems that your PC just
can not provide enough power over the USB ports to have BOTH devices connected.
