Hi

My Dell 4600 machine only has an external USB floppy drive. In the BIOS, the HDD sequence lists these two items with a checkmark at #1.

1). System BIOS boot devices
2). USB Device (not installed).

Next, under Boot Sequence, it shows with a checkmark at #1,

1). HDD - C:
2). IDE CDROM Device.

Finally for Diskette Drive A: it has (Not Installed)

The floppy drive works just fine in Windows but is there any known way of enabling a USB floppy to work prior to windows starting. I have a Memory Diagnostic floppy that I would like to run on the machine and though I tried going to the command prompt, changing to A drive and run it from there, that doesn't work. It probably isn't possible but thought I would toss it in for some yea or nay thoughts. Thanks a bunch!

In the BIOS, select "Enable Legacy USB support" could help.
