usb flash memory problem

I have just purchased a Samsung flash memory stick which apparently needs no
driver when used with XP. My computer recognises it as new hardware but
fails to find a driver. Can anyone help. The stick supplier and the computer
manufacturer both say it is a windows problem

have you tried it in another usb port OR leave it plugged in and reboot the
computer. Windows should re-find the device and notify you that it is ready
for use.
