USB External Hard Drive?

Where is the best place to buy a USB External Hard Drive?
Is it just a case of choosing a maker and buying on the high street?
Or is their better deals online?

Looking for 1TB to keep work related data on.

Online is probably cheaper - I generally use Amazon as they're quite reliable with delivery and returns. I've got one similar to this and I like it as it doesn't need an AC adaptor and is relatively small:

starting from £46 at Amazing.com or £50 at PCWorld (walk-in-walk-out returns are very easy)

who the maker is? ... they all fail anyway, at some time, take your pick.

I'd probable go to PCW for that item ... I get free bus travel.
