USB Error Message

My usb printer stopped working. Yellow exclamation mark
shows on device mgr. Tried to reinstall. Got the error
message: "An error occured during the installation of the
device. The installation failed because a function driver
was not specified for this device instance."

USB will not work with all devices. Please advise.

I am getting the same error when installed drivers for my
phone...
 
Usually this message means that you are trying to install win9x driver on win2000
or XP.
Get the correct driver. If unsure, ask manufacturer's support.
