When using usb drives (jump drive), with windows xp on a
network environment, the usb drive will not take the next
available drive letter, instead is uses drive f:, which is
already mapped to the user's folder on the network. If I
disconnect the network drive, I can then click on f: to
view the contents of the jump drive, but then have to
remap the network drive to access the files. Have tried
using disk manager to assign the drive a different letter,
but that setting doesn't stay, and when I insert another
usb drive, I have the same problem. Any thoughts? Fixes?
thanks,
