I have stupidly installed a non-Microsoft compliant cd to install a USB
driver for my mobile phone. It stopped me using the internet, I managed to
uninstall it, but now it keeps reinstalling itself and thus stopping my
internet.

We are on Windows XP.

What can I do to completely get rid all traces of this driver from my
computer.

Please help me resolve this issue.

Cheers

See "How to Restore the Operating System to a Previous State in
Windows XP" (http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=306084).

You may have to edit the XP Registry to make sure of removing it all -
but that's not something to try casually. Questions:

1) What was the name of the USB device?
2) What did the USB driver installer add in Device Manager, if anything?
3) Did you use Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel to try to get rid of the
driver, and if so, what was the program or element name?

Let me know -

Philip
