USB driver error when trying to install capture device

I've tried installing 2 USB devices to enable video
capture. The first was a generic USB dual-mode capture
device; the second was a Hauppauge USB-Live Model 600.

When I install either device on a Windows XP machine, I
see a warning indicating that the driver is not XP
certified. Because the device vendors supply only these
drivers, I've installed anyway.

After installing the drivers, neither device works.

Are there any USB-capable capture devices for XP? (Any
recommendations re. XP-compatible devices?)

Try installing the devices first - then check out the
windows update site.

Hopefully XP will pick up some driver updates for you
from there.
