Tried to install a Card reader, writer. windows did not recognize it but did
create a removable disk in My Computer.How can I delete this drive as it
does not function at all. Was able to install a different make and it works
properly. Reason for deleting the not working drive is to be able to use
assigned letter to the not working drive. Thanks
 
Start/Run, type:
diskmgmt.msc

Rightclick the drive to change drive letter. You may find other ways to
remove the drive, there. Like:
Properties, hardware tab, troubleshoot button.
 
Thanks for your reply. Can change drive letter, but nowhere is available to
remove the drive. No sense changing drive letter as the drive is useless.

Go into device manager (Widows Key + Pause, select device manager). When
you connect the duff card reader, an entry should appear under disk drives
(or may be under 'unknown devices'). Right click and uninstall.
 
Thanks for your reply. Will check your suggestion. Nothing shows up. Did
remove entry in add remove programs in control panel. Maybe that corrected
the issue. Thanks again.
