I am running XP pro on 1.5ghz with 512 ddr. The mother board is a msi
kt3 ultra. Also I am using a usb mouse except I have a ps2 adapter
and am NOT attaching it thru the usb but thru the mouse ps2 port. My
problem is that my intel create and share pc camera (usb) will work
and then all of a sudden just freeze and stop working. I have to
unistall and reinstall it thru the device manager. After doing this
three times in a row that stops working and a full reset is in order.
I have recently also purchased a dlink dwl-120+ usb wireless 802.11b.
I thoghut the problem was the cameras alone, but the dlink also seems
to loose internet connection for ten seconds at a time approximatly
every 5 or 10 minutes. My roommatte has a laptop which does not lose
contact with our router, so i know its my system. I have both 1.1 and
2.0 (usbs) and the problem is the same no matter which port anything
is plugged into. I have also turned off the "allow compouter to turn
off device on low power" option thru the device manager. I've also
used dhcp and a static ip for the dlink, niether work perfectly, but
(possibly my imagination) the static seems to work slightly better.
Please help with any suggestions.
