USB Devices preventing Hibdernation

This is happening with some USB memory sticks and some USB video capture
devices. Any thoughts on the matter?
Get a message saying that the device is preventing hibernation.


Same memory stick in my laptop (different hw) running XP Pro hibernates and
resumes OK.

Don't want to dismount the device before hibernation because the target app.
runs from the memory stick. OS is on a small flash disk (No room for the
app.).

I also tried a USB HD enclosure.
Thsi prevented hibernation.
I guess its a missing component or misconfiguration.
